GODARD. I am researching primarily the Godard
family. Daniel Godard was born in NC in 1798, lived as a young adult
and married man with a family in Jones County, GA and then moved to Monroe
County, GA where he died in 1877. I have much info. on him and I
noticed that he apparently kept his ties to Baldwin County in that I have
located a Babb will on which he was a witness. I am writing in the
hopes that you, in your research, have heard of him or possibly have some
helpful info. for me. I know that Daniel Godard's father was Frederick
Godard who was born in NC around 1768 and died in Jones County (formerly
Baldwin) in 1841. On a land transfer deed at Frederick's death it
described the property as having been "formerly Baldwin County".
If any is familiar, I would love to hear from you. I am always happy
to share.

GREEN(E). We made a trip to Baldwin County
in June of 1997. At that time the courthouse was moving files so
we were unable to do much research. Alexander Greene died intestate and
Myles and Rhodom were administrators of his estate. We assume Myles
was also a son of Alexander Green's. We did not get to find if any
property was sold or the papers listing the heirs of Alexander or his wife's
name.

HALL. I am desperately looking for information
on James Milledge Hall and his ancestors. Milledge (as he was known)
was born 25 May 1861, location unknown. I have been told that he and
his family originated from Milledgevile. By 1881 Milledge had relocated
to Columbia Co., FL as this is when he was married. Little is know
about this man. He died from cancer 29 Nov. 1930 in Columbia Co.
where he is buried in a Baptist cemetery. I have also been told that
he and his family were Mormons, which would make him a very unique individual.
But I am not sure if this is a religion he took on or if it was his family's
religion also. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

died February 25, 1899 at Savannah, Georgia. He was married to MARY
ELLA BURNEY BROWN May 5, 1887. The only information I have
about him is that which is contained in an Obituary written by Mrs. C.
H. Smith of New Smyrna, Florida, who says he was "a dear orphan boy at
the Parsonage in Ellaville, Georgia, where he lived with Rev. J. B. Wardlaw's
family". Does anyone have information pertaining to him, his parents
(whose names I do not know), Rev. Wardlaw or how he came to be an orphan?
Was there an epidemic during the time period when he would have been a
child which would have left him an orphan? Can anyone tell me where
Ellaville is or was? Responses to me by e-mail would be appreciated.
