Confederate Soldiers who died in Federal Prisons and Hospitals Search

On 9 March 1906, Congress authorizing the furnishing of headstones for the graves of Confederates who died as prisoners of war and were buried near their place of confinement. In 1910 the northern graves of confederate civilians were also located and marked.
